At POP ROC, our mission is to share joy through food, service and experiences. Gathering our community around the table over food is important to us because it fosters relationships and improves overall wellness.

We consider ourselves a variant in the world. Something unique, special and different. When it comes to dining with us, you can expect our offerings to be the same. We take pride in our creativity in the kitchen, so when you dine with us for breakfast, brunch, or lunch, you can expect a fun food experience. When it comes to breakfast and lunch restaurants in Rochester, NY, we are one of the few cafes in the area that offer their guests an all encompassing unique experience.

More Than A Restaurant

When we first opened our doors for dining, folks recognized our cafe as a cereal bar and comic shop. But we are so much more than that! We are a pop culture cafe, offering products that inspire a community to grow in their relationship with their inner child. This includes an amazing breakfast and lunch menu that you can’t help but Instagram because it’s #droolworthy and #delicious, a variety of comics, graphic novels and other pop culture literature to choose from, toys and collectibles for the nostalgic nerd, board games, video games, and a kickass staff that loves to speak geek with guests and enthusiasts. 

Expanded Menu Options

For those who haven’t dined with us in a while, some of our expanded menu offerings include lunch options such as:

POP ROC Burger
POP ROC Dippers

  • Brunch Burger: double cheeseburger, double bacon, fried egg, American cheese, arugula, and “Secret Sauce” on a toasted bun.

  • Chicken Roc: cereal milk soaked cinnamon sugar French toast piled high with chicken tenders, icing and syrup.

  • Billionaire Boards Club: short rib hash, two pizza slices, choice of grits, and four pieces of flavored bacon.

You want breakfast for lunch? We’ve got the Breakfast of Champions that includes options like:

  • Bacon, Egg and Cheese Waffle: cheese and chive stuffed waffle topped with two pieces of bacon and two fried eggs.

  • Yogurt Bowl: yogurt bowl topped with fresh fruit, granola and honey.

  • Dippers: a pile of deep fried Angel food cake cereal milk French toast sticks tossed in cinnamon sugar with syrup for the dippin’.

Dine In Or Take Out

We know Rochester NY is a great place for restaurant dining. We also know that food rushes are real, and if you need takeout, we got you covered. We can easily create your meal to go or put together a picnic pack. We are nestled right next to Parcel 5 in downtown Rochester, which is a beautiful green space with picnic tables. 

You can also bring your lunch box to chill, read a comic, grab a beverage, and talk about the latest Marvel release or the history of the lunch box. Fun fact! Did you know that the first commercial lunch box appeared in 1902? “From a working man’s utility product to a back-to-school fashion statement, lunch boxes have evolved with technology and pop culture.” shares the Smithsonian.

Our goal is to provide a safe space for you to feel welcome and relaxed. Lunch offers an opportunity to take a mental break, refuel your body, and enjoy some fellowship time with coworkers, friends, family, strangers, and even with yourself. People come to our place as guests, and leave as friends. Spending your time eating lunch with your family, friends, or co-workers gives you the space to get rid of any negative effects of the workday. Talking about non-work-related things and sharing a laugh is beneficial for your mental health.

Whether you choose to dine in or takeout, we hope you choose to experience what POP ROC has to offer. We are open Wednesday through Sunday, 8am to 3pm. Our online retail shop is open for orders 24/7.
